Jenny, the founder, has already started a successful women's empowerment program — the Imani Collective — but she didn't want to stop there. She saw an opportunity and she went for it. I absolutely love the ambition and compassion that courses through everything she does.
Every Saddle Blanket sold provides either 55 meals for the Imani Collective artisan that created the Blanket, or a month of schooling for one of their kids. Pretty amazing, right?
As always, we started from the ground up with an extensive strategy and inspiration board process. This ensures that we're on the same page as we dive into the brand design process.
For the final logo, we found inspiration in nature and the Swahili translation of Sukwa: woven. We created a simple line design that "wove together" mountains and valleys. The typography is clean, with subtle custom touches to add personality.
A special thanks to Jenny for being an amazing human being, and such a pleasure to collaborate with.
